Melinex® ST505 is a crystal clear, high gloss, heat stabilized polyester film with excellent shrink resistance for high processing temperatures. It is pretreated on both sides for improved adhesion to a wide range of solvent-based graphic inks and varnishes, silver conductive and dielectric inks. It is ideally suited for graphic and certain circuitry layers in membrane switches and other flexible electronics applications. Unlike its counterpart Melinex® ST506, it does not have a knurled edge.
Melinex® ST505 and other heat-stabilized PET films are compatible with Henkel LOCTITE® brand conductive and dielectric inks. The film’s low shrinkage properties improve yield efficiencies even at high cure temperatures.
