How to Print on Plastic Film
In order to achieve the right print receptivity that your project demands, surfaces need to be prepared to receive the ink. The way in which the film is prepared can vary, depending on the type of plastic, ink type, post-processes, and final application needs. Once these items are determined, Tekra can help you determine if your substrate will require a specialized coating to meet the demands. Once the material is properly prepared, the process is very similar to standard printing. If you are printing with a more traditional method, Tekra also offers hardcoats that will help protect the first surface from chemicals and abrasions, while many traditional inks will adhere to the second surface with a standard print treatment or adequate dyne level.
