New Berlin, WI - Tekra Corporation has just announced two new additions to their JetView® line of UV inkjet printable films. Both films are coated polycarbonates that have the unique JetView coating that greatly enhances the adhesion of the UV ink to substrate. The JetView coating allows UV inkjet printed polycarbonate to pass the ASTM D3359 cross hatch tape test for adhesion where printed uncoated polycarbonate routinely fails. This capability is extremely important in industrial applications such as nameplates, membrane switch and industrial overlays, displays and labels.
JetView Velvet/Gloss Polycarbonate is a velvet one side, gloss one side transparent film with the JetView coating on the gloss side. Stocked in 10 mils thick, 48 inch wide master rolls, it can be converted to any size sheet or roll to be compatible with either wide format or flatbed UV inkjet presses. Custom gauges can also be created such as 7, 15, 20 or 30 mils thick.
JetView Marnot Advanced LI Polycarbonate is a gloss/gloss polycarbonate with one side coated with our JetView coating and the other side with our Marnot Advanced LI hardcoat. This film offers surface chemical and scratch resistance for applications in harsher environments. Unlike other hardcoats, Marnot Advanced LI has ultra-low iridescence, also known as the “rainbow effect”, making it the most visually appealing UV inkjet hardcoated polycarbonate. Stocked in 10mils thick, 48 inch wide master rolls, JetView Marnot Advanced Polycarbonate can also be converted to any sheet or roll size needed.
These two new films, combined with the Gloss/Gloss and Velvet/Matte versions of JetView, help round out the JetView Polycarbonate line of films. For more information and free test samples, please contact Tekra Corporation at 800-491-9578 or visit www.tekra.com.
