ULTEM™ is the highest performance film in Sabic’s portfolio, offering enhanced heat and chemical resistance. These films are a thermoplastic Polyetherimide material with high ionic purity. Delivering non-brominated and non-chlorinated performance, ULTEM™ films are part of Sabic’s EFR series of environmentally responsible flame retardant films.
ULTEM™ films offer Class H high temperature resistance at very thing gauges, which is the highest temperature rating of insulation classes. In addition, these films feature low moisture absorption and excellent dielectric properties. ULTEM™ films are available in a matte/matte or polish/matte finish in a natural amber color. Typical applications include shielding, die-cut insulators and spacers, insulation barriers, labels and overlays, and printed circuits.
